WAVE is a non-profit organization registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Donations are tax deductible in Australia. We deliver our services in Pakistan through Shahnaz & Bashir Malik Educational Trust.
Our Story
Shahnaz & Bashir Malik Educational Trust, a non-profit organization, was established in 2017 by an initial donation of Rs 7 million by Bashir Malik, who migrated to Australia in 1979. Bashir Malik and his late wife Shahnaz Malik wanted to share their blessings with underprivileged communities in Pakistan.
In addition to personal funding, Bashir Malik registered a charity — WAVE — in Australia. All donations over $5 made to WAVE in Australia are tax deductible.
WAVE is working closely with local NGOs and renowned social workers. We have just taken the first steps and still have a long way to go.
